Special Events

In addition to the regularly scheduled tax prep sites, we still have several special events worth checking out between now and the April 18 tax filing deadline:

  • MyFreeTaxes Event—Thursday, March 23, 1-5 p.m., Z.J. Loussac Public Library (3600 Denali St.) *File your own taxes online with the help of an on-site computer coach.
  • Tax Prep Saturday—Saturday, April 1, 12-4:30 p.m., Girdwood Gerrish Public Library (250 Egloff Drive, Girdwood) *Have your taxes prepared by an IRS-certified volunteer.
  • Tax Prep Saturday—Saturday, April 8, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Crosspoint Community Church (1920 W. Dimond Blvd.) *Have your taxes prepared by an IRS-certified volunteer OR file your own taxes online with the help of an on-site computer coach.
  • MyFreeTaxes Event—Saturday, April 15, 1-5 p.m., Z.J. Loussac Public Library (3600 Denali St.) *File your own taxes online with the help of an on-site computer coach. 
  • Procrastinator’s Day—Tuesday, April 18, 12-9 p.m., UAA @ University Center Mall (3901 Old Seward Highway) *Have your taxes prepared by an IRS-certified volunteer.
